Intel laptop wireless problem?

hello i have a intel laptop and wen i got it from my mom the wireless worked great, internet and all connected 100% and then i move for about a week and was tryin to connect to my gfs wireless router but it kept sayin i need the pphase n all that jazz but she or her mom ddnt know it but anyways i move back in with my mom and now wen i try to connect to the internet and ive tried EVERYTHING... i think. it just tells me over n over that i need to switch the wireless switch on and it says that i either can do that by typing in a pword or the switch should be located on the front or sides of the laptop. no switch. front, sides, or back. and i cant find where to type any pwords in. ugg any ideas please : | thank you
